Program

• The program is oriented on problem-based learning and consists of 3 group cases and 1 dissertation.
• The subjects in which the students qualify are closely related to organisational best practices.
• The student works in groups for the group cases and is supervised by professional instructors who have been or are still appointed as university instructors and are business professionals in the corporate world. This creates an excellent blend of theory and practice.
• The subjects for the 3 group cases are:
  • Introducing New Products
  • Business Strategy
  • International Investment Decisions
• The dissertation is done individually.
• The last component, a the final course and evaluation, takes place in Amsterdam.

Accreditation

• The course is an International Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
• The diploma is provided by the Dutch University of Applied Sciences for Business Professionals under license of NOVI University.
• The course is NVAO accredited. The NVAO registration number is: #2390, the accreditation is valid until 09.03.2014

Admission requirements

• Students who have successfully completed a VWA (Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie) or an equivalent Diploma can enroll to the BBA course.
• The admissions procedure consists of:
  • A recognised VWA-diploma; admission via comparable education may be permitted after assessment by DUASBP education management.
  • A Business English test, TOEFL level.
    • reading skills minimum level: intermediate
    • listening skills minimum level: intermediate
    • speaking skills minimum level: fair
    • writing skills minimum level: fair
  • After that, a personal intake procedure is conducted to determine the suitability of the student for the BBA program.

The student can be enrolled if all assessments are positive.

Organisation

The Dutch University of Applies Sciences for Business Professionals is a result of a merger between the University of Applied Science Midden Nederland (HMN) and Hogeschool Markus Verbeek Praehep. For the last 3 years in a row, Markus Verbeek has been the best university for Applied Sciences in the Netherlands in the fields of finance and accountancy.

The Dutch University of Applied Sciences for Business Professionals is the new name for two previously existing Universities for Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Innovation was the main reason for the merger of "Hogeschool Praehep" with "Dutch University for Applied Sciences for Business Professionals ", and has led to a new professional University.
